Owens Corning’s Fiber Glass and foam building insulation products are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality

Certified® (IAQ).

GREENGUARD Certification is awarded to products that are low-emitting and help to maintain better, cleaner indoor air quality. Products certified by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute have been subjected to rigorous tests and found to produce low emissions of formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), respirable particles and other pollutants.

Therefore, GREENGUARD Certified products meet stringent indoor air quality standards. GREENGUARD

Certification provides customers with an independent third party’s assurance of the indoor air quality performance of Owens Corning’s insulating products, In turn, Owens Corning’s customers will be better able to assure their own customers of the all-around quality of Owens Corning’s certified products. 

CERTIFICATION THAT COUNTS What does GREENGUARD Certification mean? Certified products are tested using stringent environmental chamber methods and are proven to be low emitting and contribute minimal levels of pollutants to indoor environments. Products are retested annually with certain critical components of each product being monitored quarterly. 

The GREENGUARD Certification and labeling program for interior products and building materials is the only testing program worldwide for low-emitting products.

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, an independent, non-profit organization administers the

certifications. The organization was founded to create better indoor environments and improve public health and quality of life, thereby guiding manufacturers in building better and safer products.The tough new GREENGUARD Certii cation for Children & Schools is an extension to the established GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certii cation ProgramSM to more effectively protect children from exposure to high levels of potentially harmful chemicals. The new standard takes the sensitive nature of school populations and the unique building characteristics and maintenance conditions found in schools into consideration and presents the most rigorous product emissions criteria to date.
